Wearing’s work reveals the fact that the camera does not take a neutral stance, but a powerful mass-media organ that breaks down the public and the private. In the early 1990s,

• Private • Public • Representation • Documentation • Examination • Negative Atmosphere • Alcoholic Family • View • Family The idea of having a different view point of a Family is very interesting and also this will have control over the picture and the status of the detail of it. |
#2 my Response |
WWW: I like the way that this picture is positioned because Richards pictures focuses on the and and the different perspectives of taking a good picture. The amount of brightness of this picture is set at a minimum so that the picture doesn't seem to bright
|
EBI: Gain a better composition and a more effective image, this would make the picture more interesting and make it stand out to the similar style of Richards pictures.

Philippe
Halsman
Researching Philippe Halsman
Philippe Halsman (1906-1979) was born in Riga, Latvia and began his photographic career in Paris. In 1934 he opened a portrait studio in Montparnasse, where he photographed many well-known artists and writers.
Part of Halsman’s success was his joie de vivre and his imagination — combined with his technological prowess. Halsman began a thirty-seven year collaboration with Salvador Dali in 1941 which resulted in a stream of unusual “photographs of ideas,” including “Dali Atomicus” and the “Dali’s Mustache” series. In the early 1950s, Halsman began to ask his subjects to jump for his camera at the conclusion of each sitting. These uniquely witty and energetic images have become an important part of his photographic legacy. Writing in 1972, Halsman spoke of his fascination with the human face. “Every face I see seems to hide – and sometimes fleetingly to reveal – the mystery of another human being. Capturing this revelation became the goal and passion of my life.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phillipe_Halsman |

#3 My response to philippe halsman
For this picture I have tried to take the same picture by using the same motion effect that Philippe Halsman used. For the outcome of this picture i have tried to make it look like i am in the air and have a positive expression that could lead this picture to more visualisations and more interpretations
WWW: I have developed a good response to Philippe Halsman and generated the same idea. I like the fact that this picture also takes in consideration that it was taken at a very fast shutter speed and it was taken form a natural position and body language and makes the picture look airborne
|
EBI: This picture would have been better if i took in consideration the background and change the background to other places which would make this picture more effective and adapt the postion and structure.

Photoshop response ...

Yves klein |
WWW: For this picture I have decided to use photoshop in order to configure and rotate my image also to add a similar background so that the image looks like Yves Klein's, i have also made the picture black and white in order to make it similar to Yves Kleins. I think that this picture is a very focused jump because it involves a background which makes the picture stand out.
|
EBI: A better consideration of the background and the different components that are located throughout this, also this picture could have been much better if i had a better idea about the contrast and the balance of colour.
